Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
